On 31 August 2018, the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, in collaboration with the Office of the Commercial Affairs, Nairobi, organized a Business-to-Business (B2B) Meeting between Thai and Tanzanian companies at the Serena Dar es Salaam, the United Republic of Tanzania. 20 Thai companies participated in the B2B meeting including food products & beverage, auto parts and accessories, construction materials and hardware, agricultural equipment and machinery and electrical appliances. The Meeting was well attended by Tanzanian business throughout the day.

For the opening session of the Meeting, the Royal Thai Embassy invited Mr. John Mnali, Director of Investment and Promotion, Tanzanian Investment Centre to give a briefing on the overview of the Tanzanian economy as well as trade and investment opportunities in the country.
